Our chefs are always looking for new ways to serve classic home cooking.
For example, have you tried our fantastic soft ice cream with freshly stirred cranberry jam? We make the vast majority of our food ourselves and source as much of our raw materials as possible from local suppliers in the region. Among other things, we get lamb meat from Hamnvåg Lam in Malangen, feta cheese from Bomstad Gård in Nordkjosbotn, and almond potatoes and dried cod from Kåre Frydenlund in Storfjord.
The cafe opened its doors for the first time on 4 July 1948, after Gudrun “Guri” Lydersen had taken over the property. Today, Vollan Gjestestue is run by the 3rd generation Lydersen in the same cozy style and in the spirit of “Guri”.
Since we deliver “homemade” home cooking, we adapt the menu according to the season. You will therefore be able to find something new and exciting on our menu at regular intervals. Visit our cafe for real “home-made” food the next time you want something extra good.
